East Coast
There’s nothing like a last minute trip to a place you’ve never been.
A cab, two trains, three buses, four planes (including one with propellers) and a rental car recently took me to several compelling places: Boston, MA, Providence, RI, Newport, RI, Rehoboth, MA, Marblehead, MA and Cambridge, MA. Susan (a displaced New Orleanian) and Julie (everyone’s favorite Canadian) joined in the fun. Thanks, pals.

Becauase our food was so tasty and photo-friendly, it only seems right to mention where we ate.
Newport: Cooke House
Providence: Pastiche
Rehoboth: Susan’s mom’s banana bread (yum!)
Marblehead: The Barnacle and an unknown coffee house with balloon sculpture on the toilet tank
Boston: Mary Prentiss Inn and Border Cafe
In the end, it was a chowder-laden whirlwind of a fall vacation.
Much props, Travelocity.
